Valentine's...

I had a fun photo session with the boys for their Valentine's for school.  School got cancelled due to snow so they'll be handing their Valentine's out next Wednesday after school is back in session from Winter Break.  Hopefully I can keep them from eating all the treats before then :)
They are handing out "Pop Rocks" candy along with these cards...

Joe & I exchanged cards and some chocolate goodies for each other. I also made yummy cookies for all of us to enjoy.  I'm sick with a bad head cold, so that was the extent of our Valentine's Day.  Joe took the boys to a basketball game and after he got home, we watched a movie together.  Which was just what  I needed since I wasn't feeling the greatest.

Baby Food

Well, my baby girl is growing up.  She’ll be 7 months old next week!!! CrAzY!!!  She is very interested in table food and so far all I’ve given her is rice cereal, apple sauce, bananas, avocados, and baby puffs and those mum-mum crackers.  She is very curious about what we are eating so I know she’s ready to try more things, but I really didn’t want to buy the expensive store bought stuff.  I found this site on pinterest: 1 month of baby food for $20 and thought I’d give it a try.  I don’t have everything listed, but I do have a bag of sweet potatoes.  So that is what I’m making today.  I’ll take some fun food pics of Abby and her messy face for you all to enjoy later.

Also: Valentine’s Day pictures and the cards I’m making for the boys to take to school.  Working on them today.  I’ll post when I’m done.  I laugh every time I look at the pics I took of them.

Summer Ends...School Begins

Today was the first day of this school year. So that means summer is over and my husband is back at his regular job. I have to admit, it was so nice having him around a bit more this summer. He and Isaac were able to spend so much time together since I work part time. Isaac has grown quite attached to his da-da....which he now says constantly. I'm still waiting for him to learn mama...I guess it is a little more difficult to say. We sure are going to miss our relaxing, care free, summer days of going swimming at the in-laws and just being able to hang out together as a family. We even were able to get a few projects done around the house. But, alas, that all is over for the next 10 months as my husband keeps busy teaching, coaching and preparing for each day. Don't get me wrong, we are thankful for his job...we just don't always enjoy the busyness that it brings along with it.
So...on to a new school year.
