Our little boy seems to be growing by the minute. He has recently mastered his animal sounds (although in this video he seems to have forgotten what a horse says-usually he just makes a laughing sound). Isaac also has a few other words he says and then at the end he will serenade you for a bit. Enjoy!

Market Bag
A friend recently forwarded a tutorial to me on how to sew this market bag. One could make a bunch of these and use them at the store instead of having your groceries put in paper/plastic bags. I'm not sure if I'll have the time to make a bunch of them, but I thought I'd try to see if I could at least sew one. It was quite simple and the directions were easy to follow. If you are interested in the tutorial you can view it here.
Here are a few pictures of the bag I made. Plus it's reversible. I had to quickly take these pictures since I gave the bag as a gift to a friend. I'm hoping to try my next project soon - a sling bag...I can't wait!

Tasty & Simple
Here is a recipe we recently tried and it was so simple and very tasty!
Teriyaki Salmon Foil Packet
3/4 c seafood ginger teriyaki marinade (Kraft makes it - other marinades work well also)
4 salmon fillets
2 c instant rice, uncooked
2 c hot water
2 c carrots
1 - 6 oz bag snow peas (I actually omitted the carrots and just added frozen peas - I'm sure anything will work).
Pour 1/2 c marinade over salmon in resealable bag, turn to coat. Refrigerate for 30 min. Preheat grill to med-high heat. Remove salmon from marinade. Discard marinade. Place 1 salmon in center of 18 x 12 sheet of foil. Combine rest of ingred and spoon evenly over salmon. Do this for each salmon piece. Fold foil - leave room for heat circulation inside.
Grill 15 min. Quick & Tasty Meal!

Sewing Addiction
I think I'm beginning to become addicted to sewing. If it's a pretty simple project I usually can tackle it on my own. Today I found some Valentine fabric on clearance and these flour sack towels were a great deal at Walmart. I have to admit that I saw this project on someone else's blog. I'm not creative enough to come up with my own projects. Thought you might enjoy seeing what I put together. I may have to give these as gifts or something... we'll see who ends up getting them. I wonder if I should start an Etsy account and see if people will buy some of my projects. What do you think???

Our Little Valentine
My friend, Eryn, made this Valentine for me as a gift from Isaac. He is dressed in a shirt that says "heart breaker" and even has some gel in his hair. On the back she put his hand prints. I just had to share this adorable Valentine. It was the best gift ever...although I am a bit biased.

Happy Birthday to my niece!
My niece, M, turned 2 today! She is such a sweet, little girl and adored by everyone who knows her. I came across this video of her that I took when I was babysitting her one time. She was 8 months old and so cute! It has been so fun watching her grow and learn new things. Happy Birthday Sweetie! (Please ignore her weird aunt's voice in this video...as you can see, she did - she's so smart!) :)

Happy Birthday to my brother
Today is my brother Tim's 26th birthday. It's hard to believe he is that old, because that means I'm getting old as well. I love getting together with him and talking about all the silly things we did as kids. He was always bringing smiles to our faces and laughter to our family with all the crazy things he did. I remember him being around 5 or 6 years old and mom was outside talking to a neighbor. He had been taking a bath and needed her to help him get dressed and he decided he would run outside to find her. When mom saw him he knew he had done something wrong and took off running. It was hilarious to see my mom running around outside after her naked son. I am the oldest of 7 kids and Tim is right after me. I was always in charge when mom was gone getting groceries or running errands and Tim and my sister, Michelle (the next in line), would always give me a hard time. We had some crazy times when we were younger. It has been fun growing up with him as my brother. He is quite the goof, but when you need a listening ear he will definitely drop what he is doing to hear what you have to say. If you ever need help with something he is always just a phone call away. Tim....I just wanted to say that I am so grateful to have you as my brother. Have a happy and blessed birthday!
