I just finished reading the "Mark of the Lion" three book series by Francine Rivers. If you haven't read them I would suggest reading them. I loved the first two the best and the third book could almost be a story on it's own, but it does relate to the first book. I do have to admit that I started the first book and the first couple of chapters introduces you to a lot of the history of the characters and so it took a bit for me to get into it, but once the story starts unfolding...trust me, you won't be able to stop reading. If you haven't heard of Francine Rivers then you MUST read some of her other books as well. Another one of my favorites by her is "The Atonement Child." I love this author because she is a Christian author, but she isn't...how do I say it....like some other authors that are kind of cheesy I guess.. That's not quite the word I'm looking for but that will have to do. Each of her books is written totally different and so far I've loved all the books I've read by her. So if you like to read and you like Christian, women authors that write really good books then this is the book for you. But I wouldn't start reading them unless you feel you can stay up all night reading and you don't mind a messy house :) They are really hard to put down.

Book Recommendation

One Cool Dude
At least that's what Isaac says. You put his sunglasses on him and he says "Coo Dooode" (meaning Cool Dude). I think Joe taught him to say that. Also, you will see on the last picture that we have some little rascals at our house today. I went to go switch the laundry and I came back and they were both on the coffee table looking quite innocent yet knowing they shouldn't be doing what they were doing.

Pure Torture
Every morning and every evening before bed it is part of our routine to brush his teeth. As you can see from the pictures below he can't stand it. You would think we were torturing him. I've let him "brush" his teeth himself, but he only bites on it a bit and then is done. I also have tried putting him in front of mirror and showing him how to brush his teeth, but he just doesn't understand yet. So for now he is tortured every morning and every evening when we brush his teeth. I wonder if one of those toothbrushes with the rotating bristles would help him to brush his teeth by himself? I know he will thank me one day (okay, probably not - but his teeth will be healthier)! After looking at these pictures they aren't the most attractive. I'll have to make another post just to show a cute side of him :)

Spring...can it really be here???
It seems like we've had a really long and cold winter here in the Midwest. Recently we've been seeing signs of Spring. My daffodils have bloomed and my tulips have recently come up also. They are doing quite well despite that fact that we've had a few really cold days the past week. Today is cold and rainy, but the weather is supposed to warm up the next few days and possibly reach 80 degrees! Isaac just loves playing outside and I love being outside as well. I can't wait to start some outdoor projects such as getting my garden ready, planting some new bushes and working on my perennials and eventually my annuals.

Shoe Fetish
Isaac love shoes. Ever since he's been able to crawl he goes straight for the shoes. Thankfully he's gotten over wanting to chew on them like a dog. Now he likes to try them on. These were found by Isaac when we had some friends over. I have to say for the shoes being five times the size of his foot he was able to walk in them pretty well. Oh and don't you just love Old Navy pajamas. I love how they show off his little legs. So cute!

Memories of Florida
We had a wonderful trip even though the last three days were rainy and really windy. It was a nice time spent with family and being able to enjoy some warm weather and delicious seafood. Now if only Spring would come to our area...we miss warm weather.
