Road Trip to NW Iowa

Michelle, Levi, Tim, Bryce, Isaac & Rachael

Cousins: Levi, Bryce & Isaac

Isaac & I went along with Uncle Tim, Aunt Laurie & Bryce to visit Aunt Michelle, Uncle Joel & Levi in Doon, Iowa. It was a long trip to and from Iowa, but the two little boys did great. We were so happy they traveled so well. We had a lot of fun the 3 days we were out there. We drove all day Thursday to get there. On Friday we went to a few consignment shops and got some good deals. We also went out for lunch to the cafe in Doon. Friday night Isaac and I were able to visit our friends who recently moved to Sanborn, IA. Saturday morning we had French toast for breakfast and then headed to Sioux Falls, SD to go to a cookout at our cousin's house. We even stayed there for dinner and ate pizza from Pizza Ranch (Joe thinks this is the best pizza ever...too bad he wasn't with so he could have some). Sunday we went to Doon PRC with the family and Michelle made a delicious meal for lunch. We also had stuffed shells that night after the evening service. We left for home on Monday morning...but first stopped at a pancake breakfast at the local school. Needless to say I probably gained about 10 pounds from all the good food we ate. We had such a great time visiting with family and Isaac especially loved playing with his cousins. We look forward to seeing them again when they come out this way for Thanksgiving.

So, Michelle is obviously your sister - and those little boys are all so cute together! How close are they in age? Looks like fun and it makes me miss my little nephews and my brothers and sisters-in-law!

Michelle's boy is 1 year (2 mos old than Isaac). Isaac is 10 mos. And that is my brother holding his boy, Bryce, who is 5-1/2 mos. My sister is also expecting and due Jan. 28. It was so fun having all the boys play together.

Sounds like a good trip! We were in Sioux Center in May for a wedding, and we were able to enjoy some pizza ranch too :) I bet it was nice not to have to cook for a few days and have other people do it for you!
