Every morning and every evening before bed it is part of our routine to brush his teeth. As you can see from the pictures below he can't stand it. You would think we were torturing him. I've let him "brush" his teeth himself, but he only bites on it a bit and then is done. I also have tried putting him in front of mirror and showing him how to brush his teeth, but he just doesn't understand yet. So for now he is tortured every morning and every evening when we brush his teeth. I wonder if one of those toothbrushes with the rotating bristles would help him to brush his teeth by himself? I know he will thank me one day (okay, probably not - but his teeth will be healthier)! After looking at these pictures they aren't the most attractive. I'll have to make another post just to show a cute side of him :)

I have had the same problem with washing their hair, they would scream like I was killing them. We just bought the 2 older kids those electric toothbrushes and they like them, but we still , most of the time, brush their teeth ourselves, they can do it , but we found out they weren't doing the best job. So, you may have many years of "torture" ahead of you.
We have the same problem here. We have to pin owen to the ground and hold his arms down when we brush his teeth...never any fun, but it must be done! He will get better...Caitin was about 3 when she willingly let us brush her teeth!
