Thinking about today...

Last night we were surprised with happy news that we had a new niece. Little did I know at about the same time my neighbor (who I also work with) was getting sad news that her brother-in-law had suddenly died of a heart attack. He was 54 years old and was considered a healthy person. It is quite tragic when someone dies so suddenly and I could tell from talking to her this morning that she still hadn't quite processed it all yet. Please keep her and their family in your prayers. Death, especially when it's so unexpected, is hard to death with. Pray that God will comfort her and her family at this time and bring them peace.
It's amazing to me to actually think about all of this...in the same evening God gave life and gave death to two different families. I know this happens every day, but it's different when you know both families.
"Praise God from whom all blessings flow...."

It is hard to deal with, it isn't how it was supposed to be. That makes me sad beyond words. I'm just thankful for Christ. Really, what would we do without Him?

We would have no hope without Christ. I can't imagine living without that hope...one would feel utterly lost.
